In this edition of Pornhub Insights, we’re taking a look at the top searches and categories preferred by Pornhub’s Irish visitors. Ireland ranks 42nd for traffic to Pornhub, which is much higher than its worldwide population rank of 124th. The average visitor from Ireland spends 9 minutes and 33 seconds on Pornhub, which is about 20 seconds less than the worldwide average.
The most popular search term in Ireland is “Irish”, which is a common trend among the countries we’ve studied. The next three terms, “milf”, “lesbian” and “threesome” are popular around the world, with “JOI” (Jerk Off Instructions) being the fourth most popular.
To see how Irish visitors differ from the rest of the world, our statisticians looked at the top relative categories. These are type of videos that are proportionately viewed more in Ireland when compared to their average popularity worldwide.
The “British” category is +265% more popular in Ireland, with “Mature” porn being viewed +72% more often. Porn videos tagged as “Blonde” are viewed +54% more often by Irish visitors.
Among Ireland’s gay male viewers, the “Daddy” category is +95% more popular, as is the “Twink” category at +74% compared to the world.
Next, Pornhub’s statisticians looked at the top relative searches by region. These aren’t the most searched for term, but rather the terms that are more likely to be searched in each region when compared to the rest of Ireland.
Areas like Mayo and Roscommon are more into “mature” and “granny” porn. Cavan and Laois like to search “anime” while Wexford prefers “cartoon” and Wicklow “japanese”. Body positive searches include “Big Ass” in Lognford, “chubby” in North Tipperary, “big tits” in Limerick and “bbw” in Cork.
