When it comes to rap music I like my beats hard and lyrics witty. Put the music to video and I prefer if it's laced with lots of booty. I'm not saying that a phat ass is absolutely necessary to enjoy the music, but it sure looks good twerking to a trap beat.

 I know I'm not the only one who enjoys a thick booty clapping. Turn on any music video channel (the ones that still play videos) or check out YouTube and you will see an abundance of ass getting screen time from both male and female rap artist.

There's no doubt that sex sells, or at the very least it get's you to take a look and listen. The music industry has been using it for years to push both stellar and mediocre projects.

More Ass, More Accolades

I recently heard the nominees for the 2015 BET Awards - Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. The Nominees include:

• Azealia Banks
• Dej Loaf
• Iggy Azalea
• Tink
• Nicki Minaj
• Trina

The first thing that came to mind when I read this list was Nicki's Anaconda video. That visual work of art had more ass per second than all the other nominees combined. Nicki went to work face down and ass up, literally.

All of the nominees are talented in their own right; albeit some more that others. When it comes to spitting bars the competition is real. I hate to single out the only PAWG in the group, but she is probably the weakest artist lyrically.

Iggy Twerking

All are pushing dime status when it comes to the grill. No hood-boogers in this selection. However, as previously stated, sex sells, not pretty faces! Although all are blessed with physiques that can make you do a double take there are only three who have used there assets to bolster their positions in the rap game; Trina (The Baddest Bitch), Nicki Minaj & Iggy Azalea.

Personally, I like my ladies thick like Trina. She's got a homegrown booty and body. Plus she has been maintaining her sex symbol status for a very long time. No fake bitch antics from Trina. She's been slightly subdued, but maintains her OG status amongst female rap artist.

Keeping it 100, the real competition in this category is between Nicki and Iggy. Unfortunately, the competition isn't based solely on the music. There's no doubt that Nicki Minaj is the realist. Her credibility is official.

But as we all know, female competition is not based on talent alone. Booty and sexuality are key factors. You have got to know how to shake that ass and keep it exposed tastefully. Anybody can achieve thot status by showing some ass and titty. To be taken seriously as an artist you must maintain the balance against bars and booty.

Nicki Minaj was the winner of the BET Awards Best Female Hip-Hop artist award in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

I'm just saying that there is something about that ass (and talent) that keeps the populous mesmerized. Forget her recent collaborations. If Booty is a factor then she is guaranteed to win based on the Anaconda video alone!
